Cobar Europe BV
Cobar Europe BV is part of the Balver Zinn Group, a leading manufacturer of high-quality soldering products for the electronics assembly industry such as: solder pastes, fluxes in VOC-free, LOW-VOC and VOC technology, cleaning agents, soldering wire, soldering rods and related products.
JEAN-151 Solder paste
The JEAN-151 solder paste has been on the market for several years and, in addition to global qualifications, has a unique position in the market. The JEAN-151 is available in all standard alloys using the same flux medium. The paste is available in standard lead-free alloys such as: SAC305, SN100C®, SCA0703 and SCANGe071, but also in the alloy SN100CV®, which is characterized by high reliability. Even the lead-containing alloys SN62 and SN63 use the same JEAN-151 flux technology.
The JEAN-151 has perfect printing performance combined with a long stencil lifespan. The high adhesive force ensures that the components remain in place during the installation process and further processing. The solder paste offers optimal soldering performance in reflow, reflow N2 and vapor phase, eliminating beading. The clear residues make inspection easy. Due to the Rosin base of the flux, which is ROL0 classified according to the IPC J-STD-004 standard, the residues can easily be removed through a cleaning process if desired.
VOC flux REGI-007 and water flux REGI-BLUE
REGI-007 is a very reliable alcohol flux with an organic activation system and applicable in a wide range of soldering processes. This flux offers excellent wetting properties with clear, dry and barely visible residues. The REGI-007 is classified ORL0 according to the IPC J-STD-004 standard.
In times of climate change and CO2 emissions, Cobar opts for sustainability. In response to market demand, we are introducing the REGI-BLUE, the most reliable water flux in the market! This flux leaves hardly any residues and is classified as ORL0. With the REGI-BLUE you are committed to sustainability and cost savings.
Starcore solder wire
Starcore is the latest development in the field of soldering wire. The special shape of the flux core limits the splashing of the flux during soldering and increases the wetting speed. The activity of the wire is maintained because the flux percentage is the same as standard solder wire.
Starcore works very well in automatic soldering processes such as robotic and laser soldering, but can also be used for manual soldering. Starcore is available in alloys SN100C® in combination with Balver Zinn flux medium 2220NC which is classified as REL0 according to the IPC J-STD-004 standard.
Balver Zinn has an extensive range of soldering wire in various alloys, flux mediums, diameters and packaging.
SN100CV® alloy
In addition to the well-known SN100C® variants, SN100CV® is a cost-saving, highly reliable alloy that outclasses the SAC305. The SN100CV® alloy is more reliable in the long term compared to SAC305 and is available in: solder bars, solder wire and solder paste.
Due to the special composition of micro alloys, the SN100CV® provides the lowest possible copper solution in combination with minimal oxide formation, resulting in a very stable soldering process for both wave and selective soldering. The alloy SN100CV® can be used in all soldering processes such as wave, selective, reflow, manual, Robotic etc. Other high reliability alloys are limited to reflow and manual/robotic. This diversity in combination with a low cost price and high reliability makes the SN100CV® a unique alloy in the market.
GPC-R-114 cleaner
GPC-R-114 is a cleaning fluid used by many of our customers and has been specially developed for applications where manual cleaning is required. The GPC-R-114 easily removes flux residues and evaporates quickly without leaving visible residues on cleaned surfaces.
We hope to welcome you at our stand 7F013
The Cobar support team consists of technical specialists with decades of experience in all types of soldering applications and is happy to help you optimize your soldering process. In addition, our customers can be supported through practical training and courses with the aim of implementing process and quality improvements. As an 'authorized IPC Training center', a multitude of IPC training courses can be offered in addition to many process-related training courses.
