This research explores the application of modern control techniques to enhance the robustness, stability, and interoperability of grid forming and grid-following inverter-based resources in power systems with a high penetration of power-electronics-interfaced renewable generation. Advanced state feedback approaches are investigated and assessed in comparison with conventional control strategies, highlighting their potential to improve dynamic performance and ensure stable parallel operation.
