FHI connects companies and professionals in technology through knowledge sharing, advocacy, and events. With around 25 colleagues, we organize more than 30 events annually, facilitate networks, and support our members with current technological and societal issues.

The Marketing & Communications team plays a crucial role in this. Together, we work on the mission of FHI: Giving technology professionals access to promising connections and relevant knowledge.

Your role as a Marketer

As a Marketer, you are responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing marketing and communication activities for FHI and its various markets and events. You work independently on campaigns, monitor progress, and know how to involve internal colleagues in planning and expectations.

You focus on various target groups, such as member companies, their employees, partners, stakeholders, and potential new members. You ensure that our marketing efforts deliver visible results and are continuously improved based on data and insights. Within the department Marketing & Communication you work closely with the Team Markets, which is substantively responsible for sectors and projects.

What are you going to do?

  • You develop and execute marketing and communication plans that contribute to the visibility, reach, and engagement of FHI, and use data and insights to substantiate choices and set the right priorities.
  • You translate policy goals, projects, and events into clear, engaging campaigns and content.
  • You initiate, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns (online and offline), including social media, email, and event communication, in collaboration with specialists within the team (such as the email marketer and web editor) and external partners, and ensure the timely delivery of content and campaign materials.
  • You monitor planning and deadlines and clearly align expectations with internal stakeholders.
  • You bring structure to processes and ensure the smooth execution of marketing activities.
  • You handle communication regarding activities such as networking and knowledge events, partner days, and the member program.
  • You develop and manage communication tools and campaign assets, possibly in collaboration with external parties.

What are you bringing?

Experience and independence
You have several years of experience in marketing and communications and are used to independently taking on campaigns and projects.

Creativity with substance
You know how to translate key messages and objectives into clear, engaging content and campaigns.

Strong coordination skills
You maintain an overview of multiple projects simultaneously and know how to involve colleagues in planning, progress, and deadlines.

Target group feeling
You switch effortlessly between different target groups: from members and partners to stakeholders and potential members.

Data-driven working
You use data and insights to substantiate choices, optimize campaigns, and prioritize your work.

Proactive attitude
You see opportunities to make FHI and its activities more visible and take initiative to propose and implement improvements.

Minimum requirements

  • Several years of demonstrable experience in marketing, communications, or PR.
  • Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level.
  • Completed higher professional education, preferably in marketing, communication, business, or a commercial field.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
