Do you want a role where you bring people, ideas, and technology together?
Where you build a strong network, organize events that matter, and make a visible impact in the tech sector? Then this is your chance.

At FHI, you don't work on 'just projects'; you actively help build a network of more than 650 technology companies and ensure that professionals meet, inspire, and advance each other.

About FHI

FHI is the network of technology entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. Within our sectors Industrial Electronics, Building Automation, Industrial Automation, and Laboratory Technology, we bring companies, knowledge, and innovation together.

We do this by connecting companies through knowledge sharing, networking, events, trade fairs, and workshops.

What are you going to do?

As a project manager, you are the linchpin between members, the market, exhibitors, and colleagues. You continuously switch between connecting, relationship management, organizing, identifying opportunities, and translating market needs into concrete activities and collaborations.

Your day is never the same. One moment you are speaking with members about what is happening in their market, the next you are translating that into the programming of an event, meeting, or trade fair project.

In concrete terms, that means:

  • You actively build and strengthen relationships with members and parties in the market.
  • You will actively work on expanding our member network.
  • You organize events, workshops, and meetings that align with what resonates with members and the market, and are responsible for this as project leader.
  • You identify needs and opportunities in the market for growth.
  • You recruit exhibitors, speakers, and participants.
  • You work together with colleagues from events and marketing to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • You are the main point of contact for members, know what is going on with them, and ensure that they feel heard and connected.
  • You ensure that everything is properly documented and keep the administration tight and organized.
  • You support board activities and ensure proper planning and reporting.

Why this role is fun

What makes this position different from a 'standard project manager role'?

  • You are at the heart of an active network of innovative companies within the industrial automation sector.
  • No day is the same: you constantly switch between organizing, contacting members, and recruiting new members and exhibitors.
  • The emphasis is not only on organization, but specifically on relationship management and market development.
  • You work on visible projects: events, trade fairs, and meetings.
  • You are constantly in contact with people from the sector.

So you see the immediate results of your work. And your network grows automatically with you.

Who are you?

You are someone who makes connections easily, builds relationships, and gets energy from collaborating and organizing. Not everything needs to be familiar territory to you yet, but you are curious, proactive, and pick things up quickly.

We are looking for someone who:

  • communicates strongly and switches easily with different people
  • keeps an overview and organizes projects well
  • feels good about what members need
  • sees opportunities and takes initiative
  • gets energy from networking and collaborating
  • likes to make a visible impact
  • has an affinity with the industrial automation sector

Do you already have experience in a similar role? Great. Haven't done everything yet, but do have the right drive? Then we would also like to invite you to apply.

What are you bringing?

You have an MBO+ working and thinking level and about 3-5 years of work experience. You have a good command of the Dutch language and are interested in relationship management, networking, and market developments in the tech sector. Do you also have an affinity with associations or technology? That would be a nice bonus.

What do we offer you?

You will join a committed team with an informal atmosphere, where you will have plenty of room to develop yourself and take initiative.

In addition, you can count on:

  • starting salary €3,000 (based on 40 hours and depending on knowledge/experience)
  • 25 vacation days + 4 collective days off
  • 8% holiday allowance
  • hybrid working
  • laptop, smartphone and work-from-home allowance
  • training opportunities and room to grow
  • a bicycle plan and pension scheme
