TACTICAL BUYER

At VDL TBP Electronics, you are responsible for an optimal purchasing strategy for new and existing products. You coordinate RFQ processes, negotiate with suppliers, and continuously work on strengthening our supplier network and purchasing processes. In doing so, you ensure the right balance between quality, costs, delivery time, and manufacturability. Additionally, you focus on:

• Translating customer inquiries into a suitable offer and purchasing strategy;
• Coordinating RFQ processes and supplier selections;
• Requesting, comparing, and evaluating quotations;
• Selecting, assessing, and developing suppliers and maintaining sustainable partnerships;
• Contributing to successful product launches for new and existing customers;
• Identifying and implementing improvements in terms of costs, quality, and delivery reliability.

You combine commercial insight with technical and analytical skills. You understand customer needs, work in a structured manner, and communicate clearly. You are a hands-on professional with strong negotiation skills and a passion for procurement. You know how to maintain an overview and think in solutions. In addition, you have:

• A completed HBO education or at least 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the technical manufacturing industry.
• You have commercial insight and are strong analytically and numerically, with experience in project-based work.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
• An independent, accurate, and proactive work attitude.
