Technical Application Engineer
The function
At VDL TBP Electronics, you get the opportunity to develop within a modern high-tech production environment, where digital systems and automation play an increasingly important role. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that our business-critical systems function optimally. In doing so, you work closely with departments such as Production Engineering, Quality, and IT. You manage, improve, and develop applications that are essential for our production processes. You work not only with ERP and MES systems, but also with applications and production systems that support our automated assembly lines. Your work has a direct impact on the efficiency, quality, and continuity of our production. Step by step, you will gain more responsibility and contribute to various improvement projects, such as:
- Expanding and improving MES functionalities
- Developing connections between applications
- Building Data Sets for Power BI dashboards and reports
- Digitalization projects within Industry 4.0
- Production automation and smart workplaces
- Contribute to research into AI applications within the production environment
- Data-driven improvements of production processes
This way, you not only get to know the technology behind our systems, but you also gain insight into how a modern high-tech production environment functions.
Your strength
- A completed MBO 4 with several years of experience or a HBO education in IT, Business IT, Computer Science, or similar.
- Interested in business processes, automation, and technology
- An analytical and inquisitive attitude
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
- Experience with application management is a plus, but not a requirement.

You will learn to work with modern IT solutions within a high-tech production environment and are given the opportunity to grow into a specialist. - Salary based on education and experience between €3,489 and €4,256 per month
