Electronics Project Manager

From customer request to successful end product: as an Electronics Project Manager, you guide innovative electronics projects and ensure satisfied customers and a strong result.

What are you going to do?

As an Electronics Project Manager at our Rotterdam location, you will engage in discussions with the client to clarify project wishes and requirements. The projects are development assignments from the client to develop high-quality electronics. The project consists of both hardware and embedded software development. Together with your team, you provide advice and create a commercial project proposal that convinces the client. Once the client has approved your proposal, you prepare the project, guide the client and the development project throughout the development process, and ensure that everything is properly completed at the end of the project. You maintain control over the scope, budget, and timelines in collaboration with the development team and the Product Owner, and communicate clearly about this with the team and the client.

These are your responsibilities:

• Setting up a commercial project proposal for the client and providing advice.

• You are responsible for preparing, setting up, and supervising projects.

• Guides the client and the team regarding planning, scope, hours, and budget.

• Ensuring that the goals are SMART for the entire team.

• Optimizing collaboration between the hardware and software teams, the customer, and the production sites.

• Coaches the team on collaboration and taking responsibility.

• Preparing and realizing the transfer of the product to production.

What are you bringing?

In this role, it is important that you can easily switch between the various tasks of your project team members on the one hand, and the implementation to production at the different locations on the other. You have a lot of responsibility, which makes the position enjoyable and challenging.

• A completed technical higher professional or university education.

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role in an environment where electronic products are developed.

• It is a plus if you have developed embedded electronics yourself for several years.

• Project management skills, strong analytical skills, and commercially aware.

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

• You are proactive and flexible with an eye for project interests.

• You communicate consciously and manage expectations.

• You have a strong drive for the commercial aspects of the projects,

• Independent within a team.
