Operational buyer
The function
As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for daily material availability and security of supply. During the daily stand-ups, priorities are identified and translated into concrete actions towards suppliers. Your focus is on placing and monitoring purchase orders, following up on delivery dates, identifying discrepancies, and resolving material shortages. Where necessary, you escalate risks in a timely manner.
By working closely with various stakeholders within the organization, you form the link between operational purchasing activities and tactical supplier management. Your duties also consist of:
- You handle all procurement needs for the production process. You are also jointly responsible for achieving the procurement targets;
- Providing system data for the purchasing process;
- Maintaining the master data of own suppliers;
- You are responsible for the timely procurement of the necessary components, raw materials, and outsourced work for production;
- Contact with suppliers and clients.
In short, you are the 'intelligent chip' that connects all kinds of functions.
Your strength
- You possess an MBO+/HBO level of work and thinking;
- You preferably have 1 to 2 years of experience as an operational buyer. Do you have no experience yet, but the ambition to develop yourself in this field? Then we also cordially invite you to apply;
- You are a strong communicator, self-confident, and eager to learn;
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
- You have a flexible attitude and enjoy investing in your own development;
- An affinity for technology is a plus.
