What does your role as a Technical Product Specialist at Turck entail?

Every day, you work on technical solutions for your customers. You are part of the Dutch sales team; five colleagues in the inside sales team and five account managers in the field.

You hold a pivotal position within Turck and liaise with colleagues from the field service, the Automation Systems department, and sales support. You also have regular contact with product managers at headquarters in Germany regarding technical questions and new products. Naturally, you will start with a comprehensive onboarding program to acquire all the necessary knowledge. Your colleagues possess a wealth of knowledge and experience from which you can learn, and there is ample room to grow in your role. The more you learn, the more complex the technical issues you tackle independently will become.

What do you do for your clients?

You assist clients in diverse sectors: machine building, system integrators, semiconductor, medical equipment, technical wholesale, and more. Many of these clients have been working with Turck for years, allowing you to build strong client relationships. You are their point of contact for answering technical questions. Based on the application description and specific bottlenecks, you develop a proposal that is not only technically sound but also adds real value. Occasionally, you accompany the account manager on client visits to provide support. You ensure the follow-up of proposals and, upon approval, hand them over to a colleague.

Turck is constantly evolving. New products are continuously being developed, in which you will be closely involved. There is also a strong focus on automation, for example, the use of AI and an automated chat and support system. You enjoy constantly looking for ways to make things smarter, faster, or better, and translating this into your customer relationships. You will also have the opportunity to continue developing yourself, for example by attending training courses.

The job requirements for Technical Product Specialist

• Experience in a similar role within a technical setting.
• Experience or education in electrical engineering or industrial automation.
• You are accustomed to working with an ERP and/or CRM system.
• In addition to Dutch, you speak and write good English. 
• Zwolle is easy to travel to for you.
