How do you design a campus that not only functions, but also connects, inspires, and invites people to stay? In the development of the new Inholland location in the Sluisbuurt, one question is central: how do we create a learning environment where students, staff, technology, and the city come together?
This presentation shows how co-creation with students forms the foundation for design choices – from learning environments to facilities that are also accessible to the neighborhood. Think of places where education, meeting, and entrepreneurship come together, and where students and residents naturally meet.
We translate user insights into concrete solutions such as flexible learning environments, smart campus functionalities, and inclusive facilities. Digitalization is leveraged to improve well-being, usage, and energy efficiency, with an emphasis on privacy and ethics.
The Sluisbuurt campus is therefore not a standalone building, but an open and dynamic ecosystem in which education and the urban environment reinforce each other.
