Aero Team Eindhoven

We are a student team from TU/e, aspiration to achieve ambitious goals together. Our team consists of40 members. We involve students from various different studies and 10+ countries.

At Aero Team Eindhoven we aim to accelerate autonomous drone development in the Brainport area. Our current project is focusing on redefining flying for the air cargo industry. The sector is responsible for significant carbon emissions, but the range limitations of current battery technologies have been preventing the electrification of the industry. We set out to solve this issue with our In-Air Battery-Swap System.

The In-Air Battery-Swap System allows a drone to have its depleted battery swapped autonomously with a new fully charged battery brought to it by another drone; whilst remaining in flight, thus increasing the range of flight.
