Eco-Runner Team Delft

During the presentation by Eco-Runner Team Delft, you will dive into the world of fuel-flexible mobility. The Delft student team will take you through current challenges such as grid congestion, geopolitical uncertainty, and infrastructural limitations, and demonstrate why a single energy carrier is no longer sufficient. After twenty years of pioneering hydrogen efficiency—with a Guinness World Record of 2,488 kilometers on less than 1 kilogram of hydrogen—the team will showcase their latest car, powered by a micro gas turbine capable of running on multiple sustainable fuels. Additionally, you will discover how this concept holds potential far beyond the city car, from heavy transport to the maritime sector and aviation. This session is essential for anyone who wants to know how fuel flexibility can accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility.

AeroDelft

During the AeroDelft presentation, you will dive into the world of hydrogen-powered aviation. The TU Delft student team will take you along on their mission to prove that liquid hydrogen is a sustainable alternative to conventional aviation fuels. As the first student team in the world, AeroDelft, in collaboration with TNO, successfully tested a liquid hydrogen aircraft propulsion system—a milestone for sustainable aviation. Additionally, you will learn how the team is working on Project Phoenix, a single-seat aircraft with hydrogen-electric propulsion, and the challenges involved in safe storage, fuel cell integration, and certification. Forze Hydrogen Racing

During the Forze Hydrogen Racing presentation, you will dive into the world of hydrogen-powered motorsport. The Delft student team, the only one worldwide working with high-power automotive fuel cells, takes you through the development of the world's fastest hydrogen race car. In August 2024, their Forze IX made a historic racing debut at the TT Circuit Assen, in a class traditionally dominated by internal combustion engines. Additionally, you will learn how their hydrogen-electric powertrain is two to three times more efficient than an internal combustion engine and produces water vapor as its only emission. This session is essential for anyone who wants to see how motorsport serves as a testing ground for sustainable energy technology.

InMotion

During the InMotion presentation, you will dive into the world of ultra-fast charging for electric mobility. The TU Eindhoven student team will take you through their 'Electric Refueling' concept, which allows an electric race car to fully charge in less than four minutes. This breakthrough tackles one of the biggest barriers to electric mobility: long charging times. Additionally, you will learn how advanced cell-level cooling makes this possible without compromising battery lifespan or safety, and how extreme racing conditions serve as a testing ground for this innovation. This session is essential for anyone who wants to know how charging technology can accelerate the global adoption of electric vehicles.
