Arnold Krille will discuss several use cases that one can ‘solve’ badly with a firewall, but can be solved much better with dedicated solutions that combine trust, ease of use and security. The use cases are remote maintainance, data extraction (with diodes), network analytics (what’s really happening inside the network). As a bonus he will also talk about situations where the hammer is the right tool, that is where the firewall is correctly used.
