Tekbox introduces affordable equipment for BCI testing
Tekbox now offers a complete solution for BCI testing by introducing 2 BCI Injection Probes, a matching Calibration Fixture, and a 25 Watt Modulated Power Amplifier.
The first BCI probe (TBBCI-200K280) is intended for testing industrial products according to IEC/EN 61000-4-6, while the second one (TBBCI1-800K420) is optimized for testing automotive products according to ISO 11452-4. The TBBCI1 Calibration Fixture with associated accessories can be used to calibrate the BCI setup for testing accoring to substitution method.
TBBCI1–200K280 BCI probe for IEC/EN 61000-4-6
The TBBCI1–200K280 is a snap–on Bulk Current Injection probe, The BCI probe has been designed primarily for conducted immunity testing in the frequencyrange 150 kHz to 230 MHz, according to standard IEC / EN 61000–4–6. The insertion loss is 8dB for most of its bandwidth and it is fully compliant with the insertion loss specification ofIEC / EN 61000–4–6. The probe is individually characterized and usable in the frequencyrange 10 kHz – 300 MHz. It can inject severity levels 1, 2, 3 and level X up to 30V into aconducted immunity test set–up according to IEC/EN 61000–4–6. The probe can also be used for RF current monitoring applications.
TBBCI1–800K42 BCI Probe for ISO11452-4
The TBBCI1–800K420 is a snap–on Bulk Current Injection probe, The BCI probe has been designed primarily for conducted immunity testing of automotive products in the frequency range 1 MHz to 400 MHz, according to standard ISO11452–4. The insertion loss is 5 dB for most of its bandwidth. In the frequency range 250 kHz to 230 MHz it is compliant with the insertion loss specification of ISO11452–4. The probe is individually characterized and usable in the frequency range 10 kHz – 450 MHz. The probe can be used to inject severity levels I (60mA), II (100mA, III (150mA), IV (200mA) and customer specific severity level V up to 350 mA.
Both new BCI probes have an aperture of 27 mm and can also be used for RF Current Monitoring applications.
TBMDA–CDN25 25 Watt Modulated Power Amplifier
The TBMDA–CDN25 modulated amplifier provides the necessary power, bandwidth and modulation for conducted immunity testing using CDNs and BCI probes in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 250 MHz. It is designed to be driven by signal generators or by tracking generators of spectrum analyzers. With a 1 dB compression point of up to 25 W in the frequency range 100 kHz to 250 MHz it can generate test levels class 1, class 2, class 3 and class X according to ISO / EN 61000–4–6. A built in AM / PM – modulator enables use of tracking generators as signal source. The TBMDA–CDN25 has sufficient gain to achieve maximum output power with 0 dBm provided by a spectrum analyzer tracking generator.
Besides 1 kHz, 80% AM, the TBMDA–CDN25 provides built in modulation capability to generate 1 kHz, 50% duty cycle PM signals. In PM mode, the TBMDA–CDN25 can also generate a 217 Hz Signal with 12.5% duty cycle in order to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.
