The demand for green hydrogen is expected to grow exponentially in the coming years, driven by the global transition toward sustainable energy systems. Meeting this demand requires a fundamental shift in power conversion technology. Traditional solutions are increasingly challenged by the need to support gigawatt-scale installations, deliver higher efficiency, and achieve greater power density.

At the same time, reliability becomes a defining success factor. Ensuring long-term performance at unprecedented power levels introduces significant technical challenges. The combination of extreme lifetime expectations, MW+ power levels, costly DUTs and test infrastructure, diverse product variants and complex integration demands new validation strategies.

To meet aggressive time-to-market requirements, validation strategies must evolve toward accelerated and representative test methods. The presentation explores methodologies to design effective accelerated test profiles, balance acceleration and predictive value for real-world operation, and address the unique challenges of high-power converter systems.
