Safety in the lab – see, hear, and experience it yourself

What happens if hazardous substances are not stored or used correctly? How quickly can a small mistake lead to a dangerous situation? During this experimental presentation, these questions are not only explained but, above all, made visible. In this interactive session, specialists from Asecos and DENIOS take you into the world of fire safety and the safe handling of hazardous substances. Through short, powerful experiments, risks are made tangible and understandable – a unique combination of knowledge, experience, and impact.

From theory to practice

Working safely with hazardous substances is often a matter of awareness. In practice, however, risks are frequently underestimated because they are not immediately visible.
During this presentation, those invisible risks become literally visible. Each experiment is linked to a practical situation from the lab and shows:

• how quickly vapors spread
• how little is needed for an explosive situation
• the role temperature, oxygen, and ignition sources play
• why small actions can have big consequences

The demonstrations are performed with very small quantities of substances, but make a big impression.

Safely and professionally executed

Although the experiments are spectacular—with flames, bangs, and ignitions—all demonstrations take place in a controlled setting with minimal quantities of substances, appropriate safety measures, and trained specialists, so that visitors experience the risks realistically without compromising safety.
