X-pedition safety

Everyone knows how important it is to work safely in the lab. But are you also aware of the latest developments and solutions to work more safely? The X-pedition is an interactive tour of the exhibition floor past six specialists. You will learn in a practical way about harmful noise in laboratories, the safe disposal of toxic and infectious waste and recognizing dangerous situations in the workplace. At each stand you will be asked a question. After completing the X-pedition you will receive a present and a certificate. The X-peditions can be followed every day of the fair week.

Career and education
During WoTS, FHI is organizing three round table sessions in collaboration with LabInsights. Experts will engage in discussions with each other and with visitors about current themes. Talent development is the key to success in getting young people excited about a lab career; how do you communicate and implement this? Do you focus on diploma requirements or do you provide training yourself, and how do you make your lab organization attractive in the process?

Build your own lab gadget

What does technology look like when you build it yourself? Discover it during WoTS World of Laboratory.

Grab the building blocks and make your own mini microscope or pipette out of LEGO. A playful activity that shows where innovation begins: with curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration.

While you build, you meet professionals from the laboratory field, discover new technologies, and exchange ideas about the future of the lab.
