The RFID hardware from the AX'UP Air and AX'UP Dongle is now available as an OEM module. The AX'UP OEM is a compact, slim PCB with RAIN RFID, developed for integration into both mobile and fixed systems.
Applications include, for example, the automatic recognition of connected tools or accessories on a machine, such as detecting the correct attachment; tracking and registering products during test and calibration processes; or granting access rights via a portable device, such as a service tool or handheld terminal.
Depending on the application, the module supports Bluetooth or USB-C. The AX'UP Air can be deployed in inventory mode (Virtual COM) or as an HID Keyboard, while the dongle variant offers exclusively HID functionality. This makes the module widely applicable within a wide range of identification and track & trace applications.
With an output power of 27 dBm, equivalent to the handheld variants, and an external antenna connection via a u.fl connector, the AX'UP OEM delivers stable RF performance in a compact form factor. The design with a main PCB and separate power supply board increases serviceability: damage to the power supply section can be quickly repaired without replacing the entire unit.
The standby consumption of only 16 mA makes the module suitable for battery-powered applications.
