LEDiL introduces HEKLA-KONNTAKT, a platform that combines the existing HEKLA optics system with a mechanical interface for COB LED modules. The concept is intended for luminaire manufacturers who wish to reduce variants without compromising freedom of choice regarding light distribution and light source.

The base luminaire can be produced first and wired solderless. Only when the project requirements are known are the desired COB module and HEKLA lens or reflector mounted. This shifts the final configuration to a late stage in the production process. This can limit inventory levels, lead times, and the complexity of variant management.

The modules can be mounted or replaced using a standard screwdriver. This provides an accessible mechanical solution for assembly and service. Additionally, the LED module suffices for replacement or a future upgrade, provided the luminaire structure is designed for this.

For engineers, HEKLA-KONNTAKT primarily offers a platform approach: a single mechanical basis with various COB and optics combinations. For each combination, however, the engineer must validate the thermal design, mechanical fit, and photometric validation in the final luminaire.
