Gas Leak Detector for use in high magnetic field environments such as MRI
GL Sciences BV – 4 May 2026
GL Sciences is introducing the LD249-B version of the successful gas leak detector. The LD249-B can be used in high magnetic field environments such as MRI.
Handheld Helium sniffer for effective use within a high magnetic field during MRI scanner maintenance
Easy to Carry and Simple Operation
With a portable design, you can detect gas leaks easily. Simply place the probe near the detection area for instant confirmation of any leaks.
Capable of Detecting Various Gases
Not only can it detect gases with a significant difference in thermal conductivity from air, such as helium and carbon dioxide, but it can also detect nitrogen, which has a smaller difference and is more difficult to detect.
Dual Power Supply Design
In addition to standard battery operation, continuous operation via USB-C power supply is also possible. Even when the batteries run out, you can use it while supplying power from a PC's USB port or a mobile battery.
Note 1: USB cable is not included.
Note 2: USB power supply does not support charging functionality.
- Detectable Gases: Helium, Hydrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Argon, Neon, Nitrogen
- Audible and visual alerts.
- Color LCD Display.
- Highly Sensitive – 0.0005 ml/min (He).
- Works inside MRI environment
- No vacuum system, no calibration gas setup
- Immediate sniffing at:
- Cryostat joints
- Helium lines
- Cold head interfaces
