In July last year, the first plant-based SCHURTER connectors were launched. Following this, SCHURTER is now significantly expanding its “Green Line” connector range. Because where you can reduce your carbon footprint without compromising on quality, you should definitely do so.

As with the launch of the first series of Green Line products, SCHURTER remains true to its policy of offering a version with plant-based housings for products that are already well-established on the market. This approach offers customers of these products the great advantage that no redesign or recertification is necessary when replacing the old connectors based on fossil raw materials. The SCHURTER Green Line is therefore a 1:1 replacement with all certifications.

New in the Green Line
SCHURTER's ever-expanding green line now also includes the 4797 appliance wall outlet, the 4798 and 6080 appliance wall outlets, and the 4782 rewiring connector.

Bio-based plastics
The environmentally friendly alternative to today’s common fossil plastics are plastics made from plant-based raw materials. Plant-based raw materials have a neutral CO₂ footprint over their entire life cycle, which leads to a significant reduction in total CO₂ emissions. In addition, bio-based plastics often have a lower density than fossil-based plastics, which leads to lower material consumption.

Quality
In addition to the CO₂ reduction, bioplastic is also impressive in terms of safety and quality. It meets all technical and visual requirements. Products made of bioplastic impress with the same performance and durability as products made of fossil plastic based on crude oil. Of course with all the necessary international quality marks.
