The digitalization of production processes is unstoppable. Due to the exponential growth of the information that networks have to process, the speed of communication is becoming increasingly important.
Profinet is the answer to this with its 10-100 Mbit/s. The Mettler Toledo M800 Profinet is the standard for digital communication for inline process analyzers, installed in a non-Ex environment.
In a digital production environment, information about the status of the inline sensor is crucial for predictive maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting. The M800 learns from the stress that the sensor, which is exposed to the process, experiences. Based on this information, it predicts the remaining life and determines the interval until the next maintenance.
This information has been available in the field (in the measuring converter) for years and now also at PLC, DCS and Plant Management level. With the M800 Profinet all ISM (Intelligent Sensor Management) information is available everywhere.
'M800 goes digital'
A fully digital measuring circuit, from sensor tip to plant management system, is possible with the M800 Profinet for:
- pH and ORP(redox) measurements
- (optical) oxygen measurement in liquid and gas phase
- Conductivity measurement (2 or 4 electrode system and inductive)
- CO2 analysis for high and low readings
