REECO RE-2100 soldering robot

The REECO soldering robot enables the automation of the assembly of through-hole components on printed circuit boards. Compared to alternative solutions, the robot has low power consumption and does not require expensive carriers, nitrogen shielding or cleaning of the flux residue used in the soldering process. This makes the soldering process, even in small and medium volume production, cost-effective to use.

The design is based on a soldering head with an automatic wire soldering feed, mounted on a YAMAHA SCARA robot. This allows accurate solder joints to be made repeatedly according to the programmed schedule. The PLC used controls all equipment, such as the transport, the soldering iron with the correct temperature, the position of the soldering iron, the soldering wire feed and the soldering point cleaning station, which significantly simplifies and speeds up the programming of the process.
