Video USL 0603: Chip fuse for ATEX and precision applications

In modern electronic applications – especially in safety-critical environments such as ATEX-certified environments – the requirements regarding miniaturization, precision, and thermal resistance are becoming increasingly stringent. The new USL 0603 low-current fuse has been specifically developed to meet these requirements.

A notable feature of the USL 0603 is the extended creepage distance of 1.1 mm (pad-to-pad). This means that it meets the requirements of IEC 60079-11 for 60 VDC applications where a minimum creepage distance of 1 mm is required. This makes it one of the few fuses in the 0603 format that can be used without hesitation in ATEX applications, for example in the oil and gas industry, chemical processing, or mining.
