The Seika XB inclinometer is equipped with a completely stainless steel (V4A saltwaterproof) housing, has protection class IP68 and is marketed by AE Sensors BV for underwater applications up to a minimum depth of 1000 meters, in both 1- and 2-axis versions. Outputs possible from 4-20mA, 0-5V, RS485 and with switching outputs for signaling. Ranges, for the analog versions, from -1°…+1° to 0°…170° (or +/- 85°), for the digital version 0…360, resolutions up to 0.001° and with accuracies better than 0.1% FS. There are also actively temperature compensated versions, where every temperature change is corrected live by means of a cast-in PT100. This very robust stainless steel transducer is ideally suited for (sea) shipping, dredging industry, cranes and aerial work platforms, trucks, etc. A version with a special sensor is available for offshore, dredging and diving companies. Subconn underwater connector. This can be easily disconnected in the event of a cable break, so that the cable can be replaced (even underwater) and the sensor can be reconnected later. The standard version is equipped with a stainless steel PG9 gland. An inclinometer can also be mounted in this housing together with an acceleration sensor. This can be desirable for applications where one wants to monitor both the inclination and the acceleration in the same direction or want to correct the angle measurement, e.g. when lifting heavy and important objects, position measurements of suction pipes, etc.
