10 years of trade association Building Automation & Bits, Bricks & Behavior.
On Tuesday 9 November, chairman Paul de Backker opened the Bits, Bricks & Behaviour conference in De Kuip. His inspiration for the sector, its members and their customers is quoted in this article. 'The Building Automation trade association was founded 10 years ago and has since grown into an association in which multiple technical disciplines join forces to create a built environment in which people can live and work safely and comfortably.'
The opening also provided a platform, with a year of Corona delay, to thank former chairman Piet van Veelen, who handed over the baton in September 2020, for his commitment, energy and passion with which he gave substance to the chairmanship!

This edition of Bits, Bricks & Behaviour is special for another reason: it coincides with the climate summit in Glasgow and: Green Deal, Fit for 55, sustainability and energy transition are in the spotlight. We as an industry play an important role in realising the objectives that are necessary to keep the planet liveable.
The lectures during Bits, Bricks & Behaviour provide insight into how this can be achieved and the physical meeting makes it possible to get to know each other better so that we can do it together. Only with an integral approach comes the maximum return.
This integrated approach and the application of multiple technologies is what the industry association wants to place more emphasis on in the coming years.'
