Between April 6 and 10 (week 15), 86 institutions and companies were declared bankrupt. This is an increase compared to week 14, in which 17 fewer bankruptcies were declared. According to CBS, 8 sole proprietorships were also declared bankrupt in week 15, 3 more than a week earlier. 

During the corona crisis, CBS reports weekly the number of bankruptcies declared by the court. Since January 1, 923 companies and institutions have been declared bankrupt in the past 15 weeks, 12 more than in the same period in 2019. Also, 159 sole proprietorships have gone bankrupt up to and including week 15 of this year.

The CBS figures show that within all sectors, wholesalers in particular are hit: 16 wholesalers were declared bankrupt in week 15. 15 companies active in specialist business services, such as legal services, architectural and advertising agencies, have also been declared bankrupt.
