After the very successful introduction of the two power entry modules DG11 and DG12 with increased IP protection, SCHURTER now also offers both models in variants for applications in protection class II and in both white and black.
Protection against dirt particles and moisture is becoming increasingly important. With the product types DG11 and DG12 and the associated V-Lock power cable, SCHURTER launched an IP54 device connection that was immediately very well accepted. An IP54 value when plugged in according to IEC 60529 offers excellent protection against dust particles and is also splash-proof.
New variants for protection class II
The existing variants of the DG11 and DG12 were exclusively designed as 3-pole versions for applications in protection class I. There are now 2-pole variants that explicitly meet the higher requirements of protection class II. This of course also applies to the accompanying V-Lock mains connection cable for cord attachment.
Special sealing elements
Both the input of the device and the connector of the V-Lock power cord are equipped with special sealing elements to achieve this really high IP protection.
Black or white
Following popular request from customers, SCHURTER now offers the two power modules DG11 and DG12 in white in addition to the most commonly used black.
Areas of application
Wherever dirt, dust particles or splash water can occur, the new SCHURTER technology is the perfect choice. This can be the case in harsh industrial working environments. In the medical sector, a higher IP protection degree is mandatory. This is simply due to the need to regularly clean and disinfect medical equipment, and even sterilize it if necessary. The food processing industry has similar requirements.
