This is what you can expect during WoTS 2022
The World of Technology & Science fair will take place from 27 to 30 September in Jaarbeurs Utrecht. The World of Laboratory combines meetings, current affairs and innovations. The participating companies are active in the field of laboratory furnishings, equipment and consumables to analytical and optical instruments, chemicals, lab automation and biotech and more. The projects and seminars offer knowledge about current themes such as sustainability and food safety.
The content program is designed around a number of themes, namely:
For the first three themes, both a seminar and an X-pedition are on the program. During the seminar, five experts will speak to update your knowledge on the latest ins and outs surrounding these themes.
An X-pedition is a tour of the exhibition floor, where you follow a route along six exhibition participants and, in a practical way, get a complete overview of the important trends and developments within the theme.
Sustainability in the lab ย
In the run-up to the fair, we call on labs and suppliers to share their sustainable solutions, ideas and tools with the Sustainable Lab Challenge. With the collected stories, others learn how they can also take steps. The winner will be crowned during the WoTS.
On Wednesday morning, during a workshop, we will work together interactively on the theme of Sustainability in the Lab.
New: mini-trainings
New this year in the World of Laboratory are the mini-trainings. During the mini-trainings a small group of participants will work on a specific subject. There is a mini-training on Elemental Analysis and one on Liquid Handling.
Tech Award
The ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฎ is the award for the most innovative products or technologies for the laboratory. From all entries, four entries were nominated prior to the fair. These companies will present their innovation during the fair in the TechAward gallery.
During the fair on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday you can cast your vote for the innovation that you believe has everything it takes to win the Tech Award. We will announce the winners at the end of the fair week.
