Bringing the online and offline community together is extremely important to FHI. The industry association is undergoing a digitalisation drive, but that does not mean that physical events have been forgotten. On the contrary! The Electronics & Applications trade fair 2021 will take place from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 September 2021 in the Jaarbeurs. Live meetings and online meetings will come together here in a hybrid form.

There is ample opportunity for networking on the trade fair floor. There is also a major role for the production square and the Live PIL. This part of the trade show floor is where the trade show gadget is created. This year it is the E&A parrot: a digital parrot that various exhibitors in the Jaarbeurs are putting together. There is also plenty of room for exhibitors to show their latest innovations on the demonstration square. So there is a lot to experience for visitors.

Normally, those who stay at home are proven wrong, but in the case of E&A 2021, that is not the case! This year, the trade fair can also be viewed from the comfort of your own armchair. The seminars can also be followed via a stream. This webinar can be viewed at any time. This way, people who do not have time to travel to Utrecht can still follow their desired knowledge session. Due to the corona crisis, FHI was forced to make a digitalization push. This paid off and a new target group was tapped into. The digital events attract a different type of visitor. At some online FHI events, even seventy to eighty percent of the registrations are new.

Studio
The bundling of physical and digital will happen more often at FHI in the future. There is a studio from which webinars and knowledge sessions take place. This studio is also very suitable to promote E&A 2021. Members can use this space and equipment at a reduced rate. It is an ideal way to record a video in which people are called upon to visit the fair. On the trade fair floor, people can strengthen existing ties, meet new customers and see the latest trends and innovations with their own eyes.

As a trade association, FHI finds it very important to bring parties together. The hybrid event is the perfect example of this.
