The Electronics & Applications 2021 trade fair will take place at the Jaarbeurs from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 September. The exhibition floor focuses on developments and trends from the electronics industry and visitors can marvel at the latest innovations. New this year is a joint production square. On the exhibition floor, companies manufacture the exhibition gadget live - this year it is the E&A parrot - and a demo square with stand-alone machines has also been set up.

In previous years there was a demo square or a Live Production Line. In 2021, these elements come together and reinforce each other. At LIVE PIL you can see how the gadget of the fair is created. This is about the E&A parrot. This parrot appears in an edition of 1,500 pieces, half of which are made in front of the public at the fair. This means that the necessary machines work together to create a production line. This exhibition gadget consists of various components and on the exhibition floor you can see how they are placed on the circuit board.

As mentioned, in addition to the LIVE PIL, there is also a demo square to admire. On this square, exhibitors introduce visitors to the (new) functionalities of electronics production equipment and visitors can see them in action live. Exhibitors who want to present their machines to the public can register in advance.

Advisable
It is currently possible to register one machine for the demo square or the LIVE production line. “There is great interest in the square,” explains branch manager Marc Berkouwer. “Depending on the available space and the number of participants, we may offer the option of installing multiple machines, but that is not yet possible. It is advisable to register quickly to write for a spot on the demo square and the LIVE production line.”

The production line is located near one of the seminar rooms. “In these rooms we organize a seminar on Electronics Production/Smart Industry with the exhibitors. After the interactive presentations, visitors can walk straight into the production square. They immediately see what the exhibitors have to offer and that creates interaction,” says Berkouwer.

New contacts
In addition to knowledge sharing, networking is also an important part of Electronics & Applications 2021. The aim is to bring industry members into contact with each other and ensure that new contacts are created. “That can easily lead to orders, assignments and partnerships,” concludes the sector manager.
