FHI is investing heavily in digitalization during the Electronics & Applications 2021 trade fair (E&A 21). This fair will take place from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 September 2021 in the Jaarbeurs. New this edition is that this is the first hybrid trade fair organized by FHI. There is a lot of demand for such fairs from the market, because the online aspect attracts a new target group. Networking, attending seminars and viewing innovations happen offline, while the seminars can also be followed online. In this way, two worlds come together and this fair is interesting for a wide audience.

Online and offline are not mutually exclusive and that is how the hybrid trade fair was created. A different type of visitor comes to digital events. At some online FHI events, even seventy to eighty percent of the registrations are new. This target group is very interested in webinars full of technical knowledge transfer. This year, all presentations will take place live on the exhibition floor, but can also be followed online, so that a physical visit to the Jaarbeurs is not necessarily necessary.

For example, compared to physical trade fairs, online events attract many more engineers. This group in particular attends few physical events due to lack of time. An online webinar program is a great solution for them.

In addition to the online part, the physical aspect naturally plays a major role at E&A as always. On the exhibition floor you can see how the E&A gadget – this year the E&A Parrot – is made and exhibitors will show their latest innovations. Networking plays an even greater role during this period. Strengthening existing ties and making contact with (potential) new customers makes a visit to the trade fair worthwhile.

As a trade association, FHI finds it very important to bring parties together. The hybrid event is the perfect example of this.
