Treston develops ergonomic work tables for clean environments.

Treston is developing a new series of height-adjustable work tables for laboratories and other clean work environments. The prototypes combine ergonomics, cleanability, and modularity in one flexible workstation system.

Working ergonomically in a clean environment

Employees in laboratories and clean work environments often perform prolonged, repetitive, and highly precise tasks. In such cases, a fixed working height does not always align well with the user, the task, or the equipment used.

The new work tables will therefore have an adjustment range of 700 to 1200 mm. Work is underway on two versions:

• Electric height adjustment with control panel and memory settings
• Mechanical height adjustment with an Allen key

This allows the working height to be adjusted to suit different employees and tasks. This supports a healthy working posture and enables alternating between sitting and standing work.

Designed with cleanability in mind

Ergonomics is not the only focus of the development. The work tables feature closed constructions as much as possible, with minimal gaps, recesses, and openings. This creates fewer places where dust and dirt can accumulate.

Cables and connections are also neatly integrated. Built-in cable channels ensure organized routing of power and data. Sockets can be covered, and utilities can be routed from the ceiling to the workspace via a frame.

The light color scheme in RAL 9001 contributes to a calm and professional appearance.

Wide choice of sizes

The prototypes are being developed in various dimensions:

• Depths of 750 and 900 mm
• Widths of 900, 1200, 1500, 1800 and 2100 mm
• Height range from 700 to 1200 mm
• Maximum load up to 300 kg

The steel construction offers high stability with minimal vibrations. With adjustable leveling feet, every workbench can be precisely leveled.

Modular assembly

The new workbenches can be adapted to various processes and laboratory applications. Planned options include, among others:

• Adjustable lighting
• Shelves and cabinets
• Drawer units
• Cable management channels
• Integrated sockets
• Trespa or similar worktops
• ESD-safe worktops
• Worktops with sink

Moreover, the mechanically adjustable version can be used in corner configurations and continuous workstation lines. By adding extra modules, the setup can grow with the process. Island configurations and work tables without a superstructure are also possible.

Focused on various cleaning applications

The new work tables are being developed for organizations that place high demands on ergonomics, clarity, and cleanability. Examples include laboratories, R&D departments, quality control, medical applications, and precise assembly in a controlled environment.

The models shown are still in the prototype phase. The final specifications, versions, and availability may therefore still change.
