Last summer we already reported about the program NL learns through. This week the grant decisions for the first application period were sent. It was decided to grant subsidies to fourteen trainers. This allows them to offer courses and training free of charge.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment decided on November 16 to grant these trainers a subsidy. These organizations are listed on the website. They will be announcing more free learning products soon.

As an employer, you can point your employee(s) to the rich range of online training opportunities. For example, someone can choose to expand existing skills, but also to learn new skills. This allows the employee to take a first step towards retraining or to become more widely employable in the company.

To make use of this, the employee only needs to register with a trainer who has received the subsidy. The trainer will then handle the administration and costs. From 1 December, the entire range of courses will be accessible via a new website with a search function. We will share the further application details and conditions with you. This information can also be found via howdoesthenetherlands.nl.
