HMIs with additional safety functions

PCAP touchscreens for use in extreme conditions require a special design. For safe daily use in outdoor applications, such systems must meet higher specifications in terms of temperature and weather resistance, UV exposure or water resistance.

Security measures are crucial for protecting sensitive data such as credit card and account information. Until now, PIN entry was only possible via an additional keypad. The new PCAP touch controller now offers additional integrated security features with encryption of touch data and cryptographic verification via the software. In addition to adapting the software to the system, the design of the hardware is also crucial to create an optimal outdoor HMI with integrated payment function.
