Fristam Pompen optionally offers its range of hygienic twin-screw pumps with a Twin Speed Gearbox (TSG) model.
The TSG model is available as an additional option in the FDS range.
With regard to the construction, it is striking that it concerns a simple and robust mechanical solution. In this respect, the various significant advantages stand out compared to purely standard three-phase or servo motors.
For applications where pumps must be able to achieve extreme speeds in the piping and a wide flow rate range is necessary, the new Fristam FDS TSG offers a very simple, robust, and economical solution.
The design ensures that the FDS twin-screw pumps can fully utilize their technically feasible speed, without being subjected to the limitations of a standard motor.
Another important advantage is that, by using the Twin Speed Gearbox in the FDS, the installed engine power can be reduced by 1-2 steps.
Therefore, it not only reduces investment costs but also delivers a significant improvement in the energy consumption of the pump unit across the entire speed range of the pumps.
A final, but certainly not least, advantage is that this new design enables better and more stable pump control. This is because the unit can be regulated within the frequency range considered “comfortable” for a standard three-phase motor.
