IT Infra event 2026: AI and grid congestion put IT infrastructure under pressure

The program includes AI infrastructure, energy-efficient cooling, multi-fiber connections, and the physical and digital resilience of data centers and computer rooms, among other things.
Keynote speaker Stefan Boutsen from Hewlett Packard Enterprise opens the program with a presentation on the impact of AI on the digital infrastructure of data centers and computer rooms. The rapid growth of AI applications is leading to an increasing demand for computing power, larger data flows, and higher power densities. This places high demands on the power supply and the network and physical infrastructure. A possible solution is energy-efficient cooling, as became apparent during several expert sessions.
The further scaling up of enterprise networks is also a challenge for the sector. The transition to 40G, 100G, and 400G networks makes reliable cabling and accurate testing increasingly important. Speakers will cover topics including multi-fiber connections based on MPO, various configurations, relevant standards, and test procedures.
Resilience and continuity
In addition to capacity and energy consumption, the resilience of the digital infrastructure is on the agenda. Against the backdrop of the Cyber Resilience Act and NIS2, several speakers address physical security, access control, monitoring, power supply, and the continuity of IT infrastructures.
In the closing keynote, Bart van der Laan from Alliander discusses the possibilities of flexible energy use and its significance for current and future data centers and computer rooms. Moderator Rob Stevens from Interconnect Services will moderate the program.
Knowledge and networking on the exhibition floor
In addition to the lecture program, IT Infra offers an exhibition floor with approximately 35 exhibitors specializing in the infrastructure of IT spaces. During the exhibitor pitches, participating companies are given fifty seconds to present an innovation or technical solution to the audience.
