Life Sciences take center stage during World of Laboratory

On Wednesday, September 23, World of Laboratory will focus on Life Sciences. During seminars, an expert session, and practical workshops, researchers and companies will share knowledge on personalized medicine, separation techniques, fermentation, chromatography, and bioprinting. The program components address issues from both research and daily laboratory practice..
The day starts at 10:00 AM with the seminar. Personalized Medicine in practice: from data to decisions. The focus is on the step from available data to substantiated decisions within personalized medicine. Following this, the Analytical Chemistry section of the KNCV is organizing a seminar from 11:00 to 13:00 on industrial developments in the field of separation methods.
Anyone who wants to get started themselves can join the workshop at 11:00. Matrix interference in ICP-AES: insight & solutions by PerkinElmer. Participants delve into a well-known problem within element analysis: the influence of the sample matrix on the measurement result.
From fermentation to chromatography
The afternoon program starts at 1:00 PM with the seminar. Fermentation in practice: from microorganism to end product. The expert session takes place during the same time period. First aid for chromatography problems place. This session focuses on problems encountered by users of chromatographic equipment in practice.
Sample management is also addressed. During the workshop The scannable future At van Salm en Kipp, from 13:00 to 13:45, innovation in sample management and smart label networks take center stage.
Bioprinting towards application
An important part of the day is the seminar. Bioprinting: From Research to Clinical and Industrial Translation, organized by Wageningen University & Research. From 14:00 to 15:30, the focus will be on the development of bioprinting, from scientific research to clinical and industrial applications.
In addition to the content program, visitors can discover new laboratory technology, equipment, analytical instruments, and solutions for safety, sustainability, and sample management, among others, on the exhibition floor. World of Laboratory takes place from September 22 to 25, 2026, at Jaarbeurs Utrecht. On Wednesday, the exhibition is open from 09:30 to 17:00.
