Silicon Labs has introduced BG2B, a new Bluetooth Low Energy SoC for compact, energy-efficient, and secure IoT devices.

First of all, BG2B is Silicon Labs' lowest-power Bluetooth LE SoC, with just 1.1 µA EM2 sleep current. This helps IoT devices run longer on battery power.

In addition, BG2B supports Bluetooth Channel Sounding, Secure Vault High security, CAN-FD, dual 12-bit ADCs, LED drivers, and battery monitoring.

Furthermore, the high level of integration reduces the need for external components. As a result, manufacturers can save PCB space and system costs.

Finally, BG2B is currently available through an early customer program. Initial production hardware is planned for 2027

Features:

  • Ultra-low power: Silicon Labs' lowest-power Bluetooth LE SoC, with 1.1 µA EM2 sleep current
  • Bluetooth Channel Sounding: Supports Mode 3, NADM, and Inline PCT
  • Security: Secure Vault High and designed for PSA Level 3 compliance
  • Integrated CAN-FD: Supports wireless diagnostics and monitoring
  • Integrated peripherals: LED drivers, dual 12-bit ADCs, and VRL battery monitoring
  • High integration: Expanded memory and peripherals can reduce external components, PCB area, and BOM cost
