New IP20, M8, and Cable Assembly Options Extend Single Pair Ethernet
ATTEND expands its T1 Industrial Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) portfolio with three new products for PCB interfaces, equipment connections, and industrial cabling. As industrial networks extend Ethernet closer to sensors, controllers, and distributed edge devices, space constraints and cabling complexity can make network deployment more challenging. SPE transmits Ethernet data over a single pair of conductors, supporting smaller interfaces and reduced cabling.
The new products include an M8 SPE Two-Piece Insert, SPE IP20 Jack, and M8 SPE Female-to-Female Cable Assembly. They add IEC 63171-2 and IEC 63171-5 interface options for different installation environments. IEC 63171-2 provides an IP20 interface for protected environments such as control cabinets, controllers, and enclosed equipment. IEC 63171-5 uses an M8 form factor for field-level devices such as sensors and actuators.
ATTEND's T1 Industrial SPE series supports IEEE 802.3 BASE-T1 technologies at data rates from 10 Mbps to 1 Gbps, with interface options based on IEC 63171-2, IEC 63171-5, and IEC 63171-6. With Power over Data Line (PoDL), compatible devices can receive data and power over the same pair of conductors.
Main features:
- IEEE 802.3 BASE-T1 Ethernet support
- 10 Mbps to 1 Gbps data rates
- IEC 63171-2, -5, and -6 interface options
- PoDL support for data and power transmission
