Solutions for connecting energy storage systems faster and more safely
Connecting battery modules is often a time-consuming, expensive and sometimes even dangerous job for installers and system integrators. This is caused by screw connections, expensive cabling and poor standardization. At the Energy Storage event, Matthias Schröder of Phoenix Contact An presentation about the current issues, the new role/approach of installers and system integrators and new connector technologies for connecting battery modules.
The starting point of this new approach is that installers and system integrators are extensively involved in the entire process from the design phase. By means of research and meetings, the wishes and current problems are mapped out. The collaboration with system integrators and installers has led to the fact that, thanks to new connector solutions, the connection of battery modules is now faster, safer and more reliable.
In his presentation he will also provide an update on how the standardization of ESS (Energy Storage Systems) is currently arranged.
