Start-up initiative of the National Aids Consortium
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, together with a team of professionals from hospitals, academic centres, suppliers and manufacturers, has established a joint initiative: the 'National Aids Consortium' (LCH). The aim of the Consortium is to purchase various medical devices that are at risk of shortage, on a non-profit basis, in the national interest.
After all, there is a very high demand from the entire healthcare sector for materials such as face masks, protective goggles and gloves, while the scarcity on the supply side is great internationally. Good information provision is very important in the current situation.
As of today, the Consortium will issue a daily newsletter with the most important information about healthcare aids and purchasing progress. The newsletter is sent to all trade organizations in Dutch healthcare, and the Consortium has asked us to share this update with its supporters. The daily update is posted in the FHI Corona file.
Are you a provider, supplier or producer? Offers can be sent directly to: resourcescorona@nfu.nl. The LCH then assesses, among other things, the quality according to the well-known RIVM guidelines.
Questions about the need for resources and supplies can be asked to the RAOZ regional coordinators.
