A printed circuit board on four wheels, controlled by your own smartphone: that is the new trade fair gadget. The radio-controlled car is exclusively available during Electronics & Applications 2025, the largest trade fair for industrial electronics in the Benelux.

The gadget was developed by electronics company Pink Fluffy Unicorns in collaboration with several exhibitors. In addition to the high fun factor – who hasn’t played with a remote-controlled car as a child – the car is a showcase of modern embedded technology. The gadget is completely open source and hackable, ideal for engineers, students and tech enthusiasts who like to experiment.

Design your own housing
You can easily connect a Click Board to the printed circuit board via the MikroBus socket, a standard for modular electronics. This allows you to add extra functionality, such as LED lighting, WiFi or a sensor. It is also possible to personalize your car with a self-designed body. Print the design at home in 3D and take it to the fair. Screw it onto the PCB and race.

Interactive color race track

On the underside of the circuit board are advanced sensors that recognize different colors on the track and link them to an action. Think of: stop, turn around or accelerate. During the fair you can use this functionality live testing on an interactive color race track. A fun and educational experience for any tech enthusiast.

Convenience and user-friendliness were the main focus of the gadget's design and that is noticeable in everything. You can easily control the car via a Wi-Fi connection with your smartphone without having to install an app. An intuitive web interface provides direct control via a virtual joystick.
