TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) introduces the TDK-Lambda CCGS series of isolated 15 and 30 W DC-DC converters. These all-in-one modules require no external components, such as capacitors, inductors, or filters. This allows customers to simplify their designs and reduce the system footprint. The CCGS series models are available in various housings and connection variants, including DIN rail mounting. They are based on TDK-Lambda’s widely used PCB-mount CCG modules, which have amply proven their reliability in practice, providing confidence in long-term performance.

With the introduction of the CCGS series, TDK-Lambda offers a simplified solution that reduces both development time and production costs for OEMs. At the same time, the wide range of modules provides the necessary flexibility. Both the 15 W and 30 W models offer single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 V, with ±12 V and ±15 V configurations also available. The CCGS15 can deliver up to 15 W of output power at an input voltage range of 9 to 36 V (safety certified from 18 to 36 V) or 18 to 76 V. The 30 W versions are fully certified for an input voltage of 9 to 36 V or 18 to 76 V.

The chassis-mount model measures 52 x 93 x 23.5 mm (W x D x H) and features screw terminals with captive screws to prevent mounting hardware from falling out, making installation more efficient. The /DIN model for DIN rail mounting measures 52 x 93 x 31.9 mm. The /B option offers end users JST push-on connectors for the inputs and outputs to help prevent wiring errors. Both options can be combined to further simplify installation.

The single-output CCGS is equipped as standard with a potentiometer for setting the output voltage. This is possible in voltage ranges of 2.97 – 3.63 V (nominal 3.3 V), 4.50 – 5.50 V (nominal 5 V), 10.80 – 13.20 V (nominal 12 V), and 13.50 – 16.50 V (nominal 15 V). A green LED indicates the output power status, enabling a quick visual check during system checks. Remote power-on/power-off functionality offers a shutdown function (output inhibit) without interrupting the main power supply. This facilitates system-level power sequencing and enables technicians to safely isolate subsystems during maintenance, limiting downtime. The converter's efficiency ranges between 84 and 87%, depending on the model. The operating temperature of the CCGS series ranges from -20 to 70 °C with natural convection cooling.

The CCGS series is certified according to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 for altitudes up to 5000 m. The isolation voltage is 1500 VDC between input and chassis, 1500 VDC between input and output, and 1000 VDC between output and chassis.
