The new CoolFin is a 600 Watt ultra-compact lightweight cooler based on advanced heatpipe technology. The cooling capacity of this fully passive cooler has a thermal resistance of only 0.1 K/W; which ensures that it can cool approximately 800 Watt horti-LEDs, which corresponds to 2,000μmol/s. The horti LED engines can be used in versatility – the platform can be equipped with 4 powerful horti COBs, for example the Lumileds Luxeon Sunplus COB 1825 or the Citizen CLU05H. These horti COBs are specially designed to meet your horti-spectra needs, with a clear focus on the blue and red bandwidth.
There is also the possibility to develop your own horti LOB engines in the size 38x38mm – a horti LOB or LED on-board engine is essentially a cluster of powerful LEDs mounted on a high thermal conductivity carrier. The best example of what a high power LOB can do for you is the patented CoolGrow® horti LOB. This LOB is only 38×38 mm in size and delivers 375μmol/s in the PAR spectrum for a power consumption of only 150 watts, or equivalent to 2.5 μmol/J – four of these engines on the CoolFin® lead to the phenomenal 1,500μmol/s that this platform produces.
The goal of this product design was to create a cooler with a minimal height perspective (a height of only 22cm), clearly aimed at indoor cultivation without external daylight. The platform is developed with lenses from Ledil and Khatod, both with perfect batwing curves, making them perfect for horticultural projects or other projects where the plant needs an even distribution of energy on the surface.
