But how exactly does the instrument work?
Using the advanced barcode reader, the AutoCOL can control the plate input itself. You can set your own tolerances in advance and the system will process the plates after reading in 2 stacks, one with approved plates and one with rejected plates. The AutoCOL therefore delivers very accurate counts, which can be carried out without you having to be present.
The results of your counts can be automatically downloaded to various formats such as PDF, Excel or a LIMS system. The photos are stored in the SQL database. The audit logs are also maintained in this system and you can set different restriction levels. The AutoCOL software complies with 21 CFR Part 11, making it suitable for accredited and pharmaceutical laboratories.
All these features make the AutoCOL suitable for high-throughput colony counting and for a wide range of microbiological applications.
