WoTS visitors choose winners of High Tech Trophy 2026

The winners of the High Tech Trophy 2026 were announced on September 24 during the World of Industry, Technology & Science at Jaarbeurs Utrecht. An expert jury selected the nominated innovations for each exhibition world, after which visitors on the exhibition floor could vote for their favorite. The prizes went to Vention Technologies, Aemas, and ELSCOLAB.

The presentation of the High Tech Trophy awards makes clear how important innovation is to the Dutch and Belgian high-tech sector. It shines a spotlight on companies that contribute to the further development of electronics, laboratory technology, and industrial applications with innovative technologies.

World of Electronics: Wockel Connect

In the World of Electronics came the 'Wockel Connect' from Vention Technologies emerges as the winner. This plug-and-play solution connects existing electronics wirelessly and securely to the internet, without requiring major modifications to the hardware or software. According to Vention, this reduces development costs and the time to market shortened.

World of Laboratory: C14 SCAR

In the World of Laboratory got Aemas the most votes for the Laser-Based Radiocarbon Measurement Device (C14 SCAR) project. This measuring instrument uses laser technology for radiocarbon dating. This allows the age of materials, including biofuels and (bio)plastics, to be determined in an accessible manner.

World of Industry: GPro500 Wafer

Within the World of Industry was the GPro500 Wafer from ELSCOLAB The crowd favorite. The inline gas analyzer is intended for oxygen measurements in small process pipelines starting from DN50. The device combines laser and detector in a single housing, which, according to the developer, simplifies installation and alignment. Furthermore, the measurement can be performed without blocking the gas flow.
