About the Position:
As a Senior C#/.NET Software Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining, expanding, and further developing our monitoring software. You work on business-critical software used for monitoring, configuring, and analyzing our systems. You are able to quickly understand existing software and take ownership of the application. In addition to solving complex technical issues, you develop new functionalities, design and develop robust APIs, optimize databases and data models, and ensure a stable, secure, and future-proof software architecture. Furthermore, you play a key role in integrating existing and new products, systems, and devices into our software platform. You develop connections with internal and external systems, ensure reliable data exchange, and know how to bring various technologies together into one.

Responsibilities:
• Developing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
• Analyzing and solving complex software problems.
• Maintaining, improving, and expanding our monitoring software.
• Designing and implementing integrations between our monitoring software and existing or new products, systems, and equipment.
• Designing, developing, and optimizing connections via APIs, databases, and various communication protocols.
• Integrating software with measuring equipment, PLCs, kWh meters, various sensors, and other hardware components.
• Designing robust data exchange between internal and external systems.
• Developing new functionalities in C# and .NET.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.
• Designing, developing, and optimizing mySQL / MariaDB databases and data models.
• Performing code reviews and monitoring software quality.
• Drafting technical documentation and software designs.
• Actively contribute to the further professionalization of our software development.
• Administrative tasks such as time registration and reporting to the Technical Director / R&D
Requirements:
• Higher professional or university (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in Informatics, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of C# and the .NET platform (desktop)
• Experience with API development.
• Experience with MySQL / MariaDB Server, database design, and writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and multithreading.
• Some knowledge of Linux and C / C++ is a plus
• Experience with Git
• Knowledge of software architecture and clean code principles.
• Strong analytical skills and capable of making independent technical decisions.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
