As AI-scale data centres expand and existing facilities face increasing Challenges, the need for resilient, efficient and future-ready cooling infrastructure has never been greater. This session explores how sustainable performance is achieved by optimising the entire thermal ecosystem ,from chip to chiller, rather than focusing on individual components.

The presentation highlights the multidisciplinary expertise required to deliver this outcome, combining mechanical, electrical and controls engineering with a deep understanding of data centre operations, compliance requirements and evolving regulations. It demonstrates how a lifecycle approach ,covering commissioning, predictive maintenance, digital monitoring, retrofit strategies and asset optimisation enables operators to enhance resilience, improve energy efficiency, extend asset life and meet today’s regulatory expectations.

Presented by Nick Brouwer, Benelux Data Center Sales Director, and Mohamed Kara, Europe Data Center Service Director at Carrier Climate Solutions Europe, the session will show how modernisation and lifecycle management strategies can accelerate decarbonisation objectives, delivering measurable Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reductions while maximising return on existing infrastructure investments.
