In aerospace and defense systems, connectors are an important part of the overall design. Factors such as installation space, weight, reliability, and installation time have a direct impact on system performance.

The Radiall QuickFusio series has been developed for applications where these requirements converge. The connectors are designed for use in demanding environments and meet common aerospace and defense standards such as MIL-DTL-38999 and SAE-AS38999. With an operating temperature of -65 °C to +175 °C, they are suitable for applications under harsh environmental conditions. Compared to conventional solutions, Radiall claims a volume reduction of up to 40% and a weight reduction of up to 20%.

The connector features a tool-free locking mechanism, allowing for quick coupling and uncoupling. The series is available for both harness-to-harness and harness-to-equipment applications.

ExecutionConfiguration
Signal4, 7, 14 or 22 contacts
Mixed3 × size 20 + 1 × size 12
Fiber4 optical channels
Quadrax1 high-speed data channel
Ethernet1 of 2 × 1 Gb/s or 10 Gb/s
Coax6 coaxial connections up to 6 GHz

The Radiall QuickFusio series offers an alternative to larger connector solutions when signal, data, RF, and fiber optic connections need to be integrated within limited installation space. Typical applications include drones, radar and electronic systems, satellites, and other platforms where size, weight, and reliability are critical design criteria.
